What Are the Small Black Seeds in Goldenfeast Australian Blend?

Gloria W. asks,

Regarding golden blend Australian blend what is the very small sharp black nut or seed leaves and do you have a mixture that doesn’t have that particular item in it thank you.

Dear Gloria

Goldenfeast Australian Blend has almost 40 different ingredients in it.

Ingredients: Canary Grass Seed, Hulled Oats, Sesame Seed, Tree Nuts (May include one or more of the following; Cashews, Almonds, Pecans, Pistachios, Walnuts), Flax Seed, German Millet, Cranberries, Sunflower Kernels, Roasted Soybeans, Wheat, Canola Seed, Chia Seeds, Bentonite Clay, Siberian Millet, Carrots, Proso Millet, Niger Seed, Quinoa, Caraway Seed, Honey Powder, Papaya, Pineapple, Strawberries, Cucumber Seed, Lettuce Seed, Anise Seed, Fennel Seed, Cane Molasses, Wildflower Seeds, Cabbage, Beets, Apples, Peas, Ginger, Paprika, Cinnamon, Chamomile Flowers, Parsley, Bee Pollen, Roasted Corn, Blueberries, Lactobacillus Acidophilus, Natural Flavoring. Does Not Contain Peanuts.

Of them that meet your description may be the Niger Seed (Nyjer or Thistle).

They are included in the small bird food mix but may not be in every small birdseed mix.

You will need to read the ingredient panels on any packages for the foods to determine if they are included.

We include the ingredients in all of our listings to help you decide before ordering.

I checked on the Goldenfeast Petite Hookbill blend which is just a little larger than the Australian Blend and can be used instead and it appears that there are no Niger seeds in that mix.

I hope this helps.

Regards
